Daybreak Rotary Quacker 5000 Duck Race and Dance


The Campbell River Daybreak Rotary Club in Campbell River is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year this September 17 & 18th. Kick off our 'Duck' weekend September 17th with the 'Quacker Dance' featuring Campbell River's own 'Mr. Completely'. This will be the last show the the band so get your tickets and dance the night away at the Sportsplex at 8pm. Tickets for the dance are available at the Campbell River Visitor Centre, Music Plant and Royal Coachman Liquor Store for $20 ($15 if you have a duck dance coupon from the purchase of a duck). The night not only features great entertainment at a great location but includes door prizes and your chance at 50/50 draws.



The next day, September 18th the race and festivities begin. The ducks are dumped in the river at around 1pm at the Duncan Bay Road bridge and they take about 30 minutes to get to the finish line at the Campbell River Lodge. Other activities at the CR Lodge is entertainment, kids activities and BBQ. The 20 lucky winners will be announced on site! Proceeds from this fundraiser go toward community projects.
